Orthopedic Physician Assistant

Busy Orthopedic Surgery office seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant (PA)

*OR experience is required

*Salary is based on experience

We currently have 4 locations (soon to be 5) so travel is required.

SLC, Layton, Draper, Elko, NV and coming soon Park City

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO

• Examine patients to obtain information about their physical condition.
• Assist in surgery as needed
• Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
• Obtain, compile and record patient medical data, including health history, progress notes and results of physical examination.
• Make tentative diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patients.
• Prescribe therapy or medication with physician approval.
• Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
• Perform therapeutic procedures, such as injections, suturing and wound care, and infection management.
• Instruct and counsel patients about prescribed therapeutic regimens follow up surgical care.
• Remain on-site during entire duration of shift.
• Other duties as required.

SKILLS FOR A SUCCESSFUL PA-C * Surgical Experience preferred

• Solid understanding of current medical practices and principles
• Strong leadership ability
• Self-confidence
• Emotional stability
• Ability to be the solo provider

REQUIREMENTS FOR OUR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS * We will train you in joint replacement care

• Positive attitude and a willingness to work as a team member as well as a leader
• Certified as a Physician Assistant in the United States
• Active State license
• NCCPA
• DEA

Some travel is required as we have locations in Salt Lake City, Layton, Draper, Elko NV and coming soon in Park City. Excellent salary and benefit package. This is a great opportunity for growth and learning. Salary depending on experience.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
