Farewell President's Message from Alan Bybee
Posted 6 months ago by Amy Baird
Dear Fellow Utah PAs,
As my term as president of the Utah Academy of Physician Assistants (UAPA) draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve shared. Serving as your president has been both an honor and a privilege, and I am immensely grateful for the trust you placed in me. I would also like to extend my deepest appreciation to Stan and Amy. Their tireless efforts, expertise, and dedication were instrumental in every achievement of the UAPA during my presidency.
Although 2024 was not a landmark legislative year for our academy, our efforts for harmonization were without dissent. Another great success was our 2024 PA Day on the Hill which introduced many of the students to the necessity of advocacy for our great profession, giving them time to meet face to face with their respective legislators. This was an overwhelming success and applauded by everyone involved. Capitalizing on the yearly growth and success of our annual Red Rock CME in Saint George, the UAPA will be sponsoring a Specialty CME conference in 2025. We continue our ongoing efforts as a board to bring added value to your membership.
These successes wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering commitment of our board members, committee chairs, volunteers, and, of course, every dedicated Utah PA.
As I pass the gavel to Viet Le, I am confident that he will continue to lead with dedication and vision. I have no doubt that he will accomplish great things as your President.
Thank you for your unwavering support, commitment, and passion. It has been an incredible journey, and I look forward to witnessing UAPA’s continued growth under new leadership. However, our work is never truly finished. The healthcare landscape is constantly evolving, and PAs will continue to play a vital role in ensuring quality care for all Utahns. I encourage you all to become involved in the UAPA and advocate for our profession. Your service is needed and your voices matter!
Thank you once again for the opportunity to serve you.
Best regards,
Alan
