Utah HIV Provider Training Needs Assessment

The Utah AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) is partnering with Huntsman Cancer Institute to have a better understanding the HIV care continuum within healthcare systems in Utah.

We are conducting a needs assessment that will assess healthcare provider knowledge, skills, and comfort level in providing HIV prevention and treatment services to patients in order to inform opportunities for training and capacity building.

This will ultimately help to improve healthcare services for persons living with HIV in Utah and increase HIV prevention efforts.

Who is eligible to participate in this needs assessment? Any healthcare provider that delivers care is eligible to participate, regardless if they currently provide HIV prevention or treatment services.

Participants will take a 25-30-minute web-based survey about HIV prevention, treatment, and interest in HIV related trainings.

The first 250 providers to participate will receive a $20 Amazon gift card.

How will the information collected be used?

 Improve HIV care among the Utah patient population

 Determine healthcare provider knowledge, skills, and comfort level related to HIV prevention and treatment  Measure provider training interest and develop trainings related to HIV care.
