Check out the message below from a doctoral student at A.T. Still University.:
My name is Melissa Veil, PA-C, and I am a Doctor of Health Administration Candidate at the College of Graduate Health Studies at A. T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri who is seeking out participants for my doctoral research project (DRP) and requesting assistance in distributing the survey among your members.
The purpose of the DRP is to assess whether level of perceived leadership support is a factor in burnout among physician assistants working at Federally Qualified Health Centers in the United States. Participating in this study provides an opportunity for participants to contribute to the knowledge gained regarding whether perceived leadership support is a factor in physician assistant burnout at FQHCs in the United States. Moreover, participation will improve scholarly knowledge pertaining to burnout among physician assistants, which is currently lacking.
This survey is open to physician assistants certified by the NCCPA and currently in practice at an FQHC in the United States. The inclusion criteria are (a) Currently holding an unrestricted license as a PA in any state; (b) Working clinically for at least three consecutive years; (c) Be in their current position at an FQHC for at least one year. The survey is comprised of 25 questions in two sections. Section 1 consists of 14 multiple choice general demographic questions. Section 2 is comprised of 11 open-ended questions pertaining to your current level of perceived burnout and your perception of your leadership's support. The survey is anonymous, no identifiable information will be collected.
