Survey Participants Needed! Procedural Skills Performed by Practicing PAs Research
Posted 19 days ago by Amy Baird
Dear Utah Academy of PAs,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Shanyn Ledwig, and I am a Physician Assistant student at Baylor College of Medicine. I am currently conducting a research study on procedural skills performed by practicing PAs across various specialties. The goal of this study is to assess the alignment between PA education and real-world practice, with the ultimate aim of publishing our findings to inform and improve PA curriculum development.
To ensure a comprehensive nationwide perspective, we are seeking to distribute our survey to practicing PAs across different states. Given your organization’s role in supporting and advocating for PAs, I wanted to reach out to explore the possibility of sharing our survey through your network. Participation in this survey would be entirely voluntary and anonymous, and the insights gathered could play a crucial role in shaping future PA education standards.
Please let me know if this is something your organization would be willing to support, or if there are any steps we should take to facilitate this process. I am attaching a link to the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/COMMONPROCEDURALSKILLS

I am also attaching our cover letter, along with the background section of our research proposal.
Please let me know if there is any other information you need.
Thank you for your time and consideration—I appreciate your support in advancing PA education!
Best regards,
