TOPICS OF INTEREST:

This year we are excited to be offering a day focusing on Clinical Pearls.
The hope would be that specialists can share the most important information relevant to preparing a patient for referral. Information presented would not be the latest research in the discipline but information that would be helpful for general practicioners or those seeing patients with these health concerns.

A general overview of Pearls:

"Clinical Pearls" refer to concise, practical teaching points derived from clinical cases or experiences. They highlight specific, often lesser-known, aspects of medical management that can be readily applied in clinical practice.
  • Focus on Practicality:
Clinical Pearls emphasize actionable information that can be immediately used in daily practice, rather than abstract concepts or theoretical discussions.
  • Case-Based Learning:
They often originate from real-life patient cases, allowing for a more relatable and engaging learning experience.
  • Concise and Memorable:
Pearls are usually presented in a brief and easily remembered format, making them more likely to be retained by attendees.
  • Evidence-Based Support:
While often presented as practical tips, clinical pearls should be supported by literature or evidence-based findings whenever possible.
