New Education Department Decision Would Cap Student Loans!
AAPA is asking for our help!
The concern is about "U.S. Department of Education’s negotiated rulemaking, where federal negotiators agreed to a definition of “professional program” that would exclude physician associates (PAs) from eligibility for higher federal student loan limits. This change is tied to implementation of the student loan provisions included in H.R. 1, which was signed into law in July." (See https://www.aapa.org/.../aapa-statement-on-ed-decision.../)

2 Ways to Help
There are two ways to help.
1. Sign the petition for Secretary McMahon expressing concern about the recent decision to NOT include physician assistants in the list of professionals who qualify for federal loans.
2. Share your story with AAPA about WHY federal loans make PA school accessible for students.
