Controlled Substance Prescribing CME
Posted almost 5 years ago by Jonathan Baird
My Fellow PAs:
Since the John M Allen Memorial Conference was rescheduled to October, many have asked about state-required Controlled Substance CME training, which was to be offered at the conference.
There are several educational offerings approved by the Utah Department of Professional & Occupational Licensing.

One of the recently approved options not listed was created by the faculty of the PA program at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and has been approved by AAPA and DOPL to satisfy the licensure requirements.

In the interest of full disclosure, I am on the faculty of the CME offering and I do receive a small royalty from the program. I am offering this information because some have had difficulty locating resources and some are confused about requirements in light of the present circumstances created by the COVID-19 virus.
Please know that this is just one of several options, however, and you may choose any of them.
Thank you for your service to our community.
Respectfully,
Jonathan Baird MPAS, PA-C, ATC
